Often described as an acoustic Jimi Hendrix, Jones mixes black American music, blues and English folk. He cites Bob Dylan as a major influence on his sound. The 65-year-old has had a guitar slung over his shoulder since he was 11 and shared the stage with B.B. King, Norah Jones, Bob Dylan, Taj Mahal and Keb Mo,Ladysmith Black Mambazo and opened for Bob Dylan in Vietnam. He has lived and performed in countries all across the world.He has played major festivals in Canada, USA, Germany, Switzerland, France and Australia. Winner of 3 New Zealand Music, Tui awards and with 9 CDs released.
