i-SITE Visitor Centres

i-SITE is New Zealand's official network of visitor centres dedicated to providing you with free, friendly and objective information on local attractions, activities, accommodation and transport.

Taranaki’s three i-Sites – strategically placed in New Plymouth, Stratford and Hawera – offer a wide range of information and services to both visitors and locals alike. All are packed full of interesting brochures, maps and other tourism collateral, and can advise visitors on what’s on, where to go and how to get there.

New Plymouth i-SITE is located within the Puke Ariki building in Ariki St, central city. It is open from 9am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with Wednesday hours of 9am to 9pm. Saturdays and Sundays have opening hours of 9am to 5pm. Also located within Puke Ariki is the district’s library and museum.

Stratford i-SITE is located in Prospero Pl in the heart of the Stratford township. It includes a wide range of information material and products, and is set close to the town’s major facilities.  Hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday.

South Taranaki i-SITE is located in the centre of Hawera on High St. It is open seven days a week – Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.15pm; weekends and public holidays (from December to April) from 9.30am to 4pm, and May to November from 10am to 3pm.
