Tracing its beginnings to 1880 when Pioneer Thomas Jury planted the rimu & pine tree avenues which give this garden its mature backbone, Tikorangi is home to renowned plant breeders Mark & his late father Felix Jury. Now the garden is in the hands of Mark & Abbie Jury, with Mark continuing the quest for improved garden plants. Tikorangi is characterised by different environments, utilised for the huge plant collection, including large sunny rock garden, sunken garden, both cool & subtropical woodlands, mixed shrub & herbaceous plantings & parkland. This is a garden that will appeal to all - it has plants in flower throughout the year. Tikorangi is of particular interest to plantspeople due to its rich plant collection. Plants for sale during Festival only. 20 minutes drive from New Plymouth. New Plymouth’s northern gateway garden.
