The following road closures will be in place around Stadium Taranaki on match days:
- Maratahu Street from Tukapa Street to Frankley Road from noon to 11.00pm.
- Waterloo Place from noon to 11.00pm.
- Tukapa Street from the Sanders Avenue roundabout to Wallace Place from the matches' half-time to one hour after games’ end.
- Cutfield Road from Tukapa Street to Wallace Place from the matches’ half-time to one hour after games’ end.
There will also be temporary traffic controls for shuttle buses transporting spectators to and from Rugby World Cup 2011 matches at Stadium Taranaki and other activities in the CBD.
Dates of CBD road closures:
- Sunday 11 September from 3pm to 11pm.
- Thursday 15 September from 3pm to 11pm.
- Monday 26 September from 3pm to 11pm.
Streets affected during the above times:
- Ariki Street closed to vehicular traffic from lower Brougham Street to Egmont streets.
- Ariki Street no entry to vehicular traffic (except buses) from Gill/Currie streets.
- Egmont Street closed to vehicular traffic from Ariki Street to the Richmond Centre vehicular entrance.
- Egmont Car Park closed to vehicular traffic.
When other activities are in progress on Egmont Street, further road closures and restrictions will be in place:
- Temporary bus stops will operate for routes 3 and 4 on the north side of Puke Ariki Street from Richmond Cottage to the Centre City side of Puke Ariki Landing. In force from 9am Saturday 10 September until noon on Tuesday 27 September.
- King Street between Egmont and lower Brougham streets: Revoke the bus stop and replace with P10 restricted parking bays on north side of lower King Street. In force from 9am Saturday 10 September until noon on Tuesday 27 September.
- Egmont Street closed to vehicular traffic from Devon Street West to Ariki Street.
- King Street closed to vehicular traffic from Queen Street to lower Brougham Street from 6pm to 6am each night/day, except on game days when King Street will be closed from 3pm to 6am the following morning of Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September.
- Devon Street: Remove the ‘no entry’ into lower Brougham Street from 3pm to 6am on Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September; and from 6pm to 6am on other days during road closures (Peggy Gordons and/or Frederics) on Egmont Street.
- Lower Brougham Street: No exit for vehicles into Devon Street and right-turn exit only into Ariki Street from 3pm to 6am on Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September; and from 6pm to 6am on other days during road closures (Peggy Gordons and/or Frederics) on Egmont Street.
- James Lane: Right-turn only into Ariki Street from 3pm to 11pm on Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September.
- Gill Street: Left-turn only for vehicles into Currie Street from 3pm to 11pm on Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September.
- Centre City vehicular entrance, Ariki Street: Left-turn exit only into Ariki Street from 3pm to 11pm on Sunday 11 September, Thursday 15 September and Monday 26 September.
