PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
An opportunity currently exists with Offshore Marine Services for the following qualified personnel for immediate start onboard our Client, Tanker Pacific NZ BV’s FPSO Raroa located on the Maari Field off the Taranaki New Zealand Coast.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Production Supervisor being part of the FPSO Management team, shall work with a team-focussed attitude and shall display willingness to undertake variety of tasks, functions and assignments over and above the specified scope if they are within the skill set and capabilities. The Production Supervisor is a key person for the company meeting the production targets and HSE standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Offshore Installation Manager for a safe operation and effective management of the process and utility systems in FPSO and WHP in accordance with statutory and company procedures and regulations.
Supervise Offshore Production department staff.
Plans and control the activities of the operations department and supports other departments and vendor personnel.
Mastery of Permit to Work System as Permit Issuer.
Provides the necessary support and guidance to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
Verifies and ensures the accuracy of all required production reporting and logging on a daily basis.
Administrates the implementation of training and development programs for all the staff and in particular within the Production Department with focus on enhancing capabilities of Crew members
Conducts and directs regular audits including risk assessments, Permit and safety reviews and ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
Ensure that all hazardous substance are handled and stored in compliance with the regulations.
Assist where possible in monitoring and operating Cargo / Ballast systems in conjunction with Cargo Supervisor. A working knowledge of Marine systems would be advantageous.
Preparation of reports including daily and weekly reports as required
High Level Member of the Emergency Response Organisation.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.
High Knowledge of ESD, FGCP and DCS systems.
Excellent understanding of Permit to work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
Conscientious, safety conscious.
Capable of assertive and positive communications and actions.
Makes effective and supportive Team Leader. Positive action taken to support team.
Able to learn and manage all Cargo / Ballast and Offtake Systems on board FPSO.
High levels of written and spoken communication in English language.
Excellent standard of technical and professional knowledge as defined by competences.
Excellent knowledge of hydrocarbon process and utility and control systems.
Practical knowledge of standard ‘Office’ software package.
Operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system
Have superior knowledge of MMS systems and interface with Maintenance Supervisor
Emergency Response Role
Deputy for OIM as Overall Field Emergency Commander
Emergency Coordinator - Emergency Control Team located in the Central Control Room
Emergency Team Trained.
MOME trained
