Production Engineer, New Plymouth


Are you looking for the opportunity to take your career to the next level – we’re wanting a Production Engineer to join our Sub-Surface team, based in our New Plymouth office and reporting to our Petroleum Engineering Team Leader.


Do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in Oil and Gas Production Engineering or Petroleum Engineering – with a qualification in either Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering?


Your focus will include maximising gas and liquids production from our onshore fields in a optimal and cost effective manner. You’ll also be identifying production enhancement opportunities to increase deliverability and reserves, and ensuring production targets are met by championing field enhancement projects.


You will have previous experience in the following areas:


· Planning and supervision of surface facility projects such as rod repairs, pump changeouts and well tests


· Optimising projection through adjusting pump settings and compressor configurations


· Debottlenecking surface facilities and implementing plunger lifts


· Reviewing system performance (i.e. pipleline, compression) to optimise production through gathering system modeling
