This regional governance initiative provides a three pronged approach to enhancing access to governance candidates and improving governance capability. The first facet is a nomination service where potential candidates for non-executive governance roles can be sourced. The nomination service is available to all Taranaki organisations, be it private sector or community oriented.
If you are experienced in governance we'd like to hear from you. To submit your details and become part of the candidate database, please click on the icon below. If you have little or no experience in governance, but are interested in entering into this area, take advantage of the self-assessment to help you determine your suitability just click on the button below.
The second facet of the service is professional development. This website provides you with information training and upskilling opportunities in governance and related areas, whether it be facilitated by Venture Taranaki or delivered by another organisation. Professional development opportunities exist for both those experienced in governance, and potential governance candidates taking their first steps into this arena.
Finally, the site is home to a central information hub or library. Here you'll find resources, information on governance services available in New Zealand, and links to useful websites and organisations with governance expertise.
