Got a fantastic business idea? Want to turn your start-up into a successful enterprise? Have a business with growth potential? Business.govt.nz launched its inaugural ANZ Flying Start Business Plan competition on 27 April, 2011. Click here to enter and be in to win a prize package of $60,000, as well as $3,000 prize packages in your region.

The business plan competition is aimed at start-up businesses and small to medium-sized enterprises nationwide. Business owners with gross sales of less than $1m for the year ending 31 March 2011 are eligible to enter. This includes business owners with a business idea that they want get off the ground who have not yet started trading.

The competition runs in two stages: Stage 1 will be a general call for entries and Stage 2 will involve inviting short-listed entrants to send in a more detailed business plan.

If you get short-listed into Stage 2, you will be in to win one of 17 regional prizes as well as the ultimate supreme prize, including $30,000 to be used for business growth building opportunities.
