The relationship between where people live and where they work has a significant impact on business, community and infrastructural planning.
While Taranaki has a relatively self contained workforce, with 98 percent of the workforce living and working in Taranaki, this report includes some interesting analysis of where and how far people travel within the region for work.
The research, commissioned by Venture Taranaki and undertaken by economic analysts BERL, intends to provide a comprehensive and useful insight for the region's transport and infrastucture planners, business and real estate sector, and community leaders.
